Anyone who has not seen this movie needs to get down to the theatre and check it out! Me and Davie watched it last night and it is pure magic. First off the little “Creamy” who narrates the story is so so sweet. Oh and for those who do not know, as we didn’t before watching this movie, creamies are what they called mixed race children of white Australian and Aboriginal blood. This is a story of determination, passion, love and fantastic imagination. If you want to learn about a piece of history you probably didn’t know about than this is the movie to see. You will get a glimpse of what happened during WWII in Australia. There are so many different layers in this film. It covers issues on race, war, power and gender, all that and so much more. This film is a genuine beauty. The acting, the storyline the amazing cinematography will take you back in time but at the same time touch on all of the most important values in our lives today. This is a perfect film for all. Young, old, mom, dad, brother, sister daughter, son. A definite must see. Warms your heart and opens your eyes.

Eddie was born in Aruba and moved to Toronto with his family when he was a teenager. He always had a passion for life and adventure and spent many of his younger days traveling across the content living in Ottawa and San Fransico. He then settled in Vancouver and spent over half of his life here. Although he loved life, Eddie was a very hard working man and never had an idle moment. In addition to work and play he was a loving family man. He was not only there for his three children but also a father to all those that needed him. You were much loved Edwin Busby may you rest in peace.

I’m writing this post about my daughter Kayla who just landed her first job at Dairy Queen. Kayla is 14 and is a very motivated girl she understands that if you want new clothes you can’t always count on mom and dad especially in these hard economic times. Kayla didn’t just go out to looking for her first job so she could make money for new clothes she had a higher purpose which was to help her mother out financially she see’s how hard her mother works trying to keep her happy & settled. I do my best to help but its nice to know even though we are not all together we can still help the ones we love out. Congratulations to you my smart and beautiful teenage girl Kayla hope you hook dad up a deal on ice cream.

The family man

This our sweet little kitten. We originally named her Jasmine because her mom is half Bengal and we thought Jasmine sounds like and Indian princess name. However now that we have gotten to know her a more appropriate name would have been jaws because she eats like a little monster. You do not want to get in this kitty’s way when she is HUNGRY. Oh shoot I gotta go feed my terrorist kitty.

Me, Elena & Valerie Elena’s mom at the pumpkin patch just out of Sidney, here in Victoria. Just writing this blog post before our thanksgiving dinner.
